Necab Picnic @ Confident Cascade - July 27th

NECAB organized a family gettogether at confident cascade on July 27th.

Picnic was lot of fun. Inspite of the rain and the bombs a 50+ team showed up. Though the rain kept us indoor for most of the day we had real hectic time till 6pm. Breaking ice session was great for knowing all the participants, their family and their times in college. I think we should always have a similar program in NECAB gatherings.

Considering that we are from many different batches spanning 1964 to 2004, it was amazing how quickly we jelled together as a team. There were so many things in common.. teachers, nicknames, theaters, politics, back papers. Thanks to all who shared nostalgic and hilarious experiences from the college days.

Thanks to all the singers and the great song selection, anthaakshari was great. There were many songs we got to remember after several years. Thanks to Nishant for organizing a great quiz session. Congratulations to team Thankamani who scored maximum points. Team Manikandans who came last - better luck next time.

Another major highlight is the selection of a strong and BALANCED cricket team for upcoming BBC competition organized by KEA (Kerala Engineering Assoc). Sivaramji has announced the team this morning which has both young talent as well as stability of experience ;). The match is on Aug 31 and KEA should be sending the invites soon. Let us show up in great strength and support our team with cheer+beer. Hope we will repeat the 2006 results by beating all other engg colleges.
